Visiting professorship in Brno, Czech Republic, 23 - 29 March 2014

I am currently visiting my Czech colleagues Petr Dobrovolny, Rudolf Brazdil and Mirek Trnka in Brno. During this one-week period, realized within the framework of the InterDrought project, we are actively working on the development of a new, oak-based, extreme-year record for the Czech Republic and back to AD 760. Scientific exchange including data and thoughts occurs mainly within and between the Masaryk and Mendel Universities as well as the Czech Globe Global Change Research Centre and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. As an efficient team, we are envisioning to have a first product ready by this summer.
